Commissions

A portrait with meaning.

Some animals are not subjects — they are family, or a memory, or the one creature you have never stopped thinking about. A commission begins with that.

Commissions hold a particular place in Samara’s work, personal and meaningful pieces made for the person who asked for them, open to both pet portraits and wildlife. Each one is created as a one-of-a-kind original.

Custom Wildlife Artworks

For clients who have a particular animal in mind, drawn as a gallery-quality original artwork rather than a portrait, in the same moody, atmospheric style as Samara's own collection.

A real example

When a sold piece became a commission.

After Samara’s original Say What? sold at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, another collector asked for a piece in the same spirit. Samara created an entirely new, original commissioned version, proof that a piece you love doesn’t have to be gone for good.
